Shiftgig is focused on providing on-demand talent to Foodservice and Hospitality industries,  Call Centers and Warehouses. 'Talent on Tap' is their tag line, representing their focus on the their core business- gigs  for restaurant and hotel staff. More recently, through the buy out of BookedOne, they've also branched out into the 'experiential marketing' space. Experiential marketing is on-demand staff for events, often for sports and public relations events looking for Brand Ambassadors, Event Managers, Product Samplers etc. 

RATINGS: 4.6 OUT OF 5 STARS.

Strength: Shiftgig received high ratings for their easy to use app & dashboards. Users state the dashboards are clear and simple; highlighting the scheduling and payment modules particularly. 

Weakness: The most consistent knock on this platform is pricing hikes on next day staffing orders. 

Best Use: For corporate businesses, we found that Shiftgig has become a viable resource due to it's acquisition of BookedOne. A Sales or Marketing team piloting customer experience projects, brand ambassador staffing structures or needing support at a trade show for example could use Shiftgig as a cheap alternative to using current salaried staff or hiring permanent resources while piloting new programs . Testing new organizational structures, new marketing programs or new customer experience journeys can be very costly when using permanent staff- the open talent economy is a great way to adapt to the future using a low cost on demand staffing option.
