CloserIQ is a specialized talent acquisition marketplace for technology companies (employers) and sales talent (job seekers). CloserIQ's platform and it's focus on tech sales talent only sets this company apart from other services. The platform is simple and encourages transparency; job postings share employer information as well as compensation data, and job seeker profiles include pre-recorded audio questions and resumes with notes from a talent advisor. A recent partnership with Greenhouse, an applicant tracking system and recruiting software, creates an integrated approach to recruiting delivering more data, analytics and knowledge on hiring success over time.

Strength: CloserIQ's laser focus on tech sales talent and start-up tech employers in the New York area creates a rich and super valuable network and delivers a better candidate/employer match. Adding the slick and data-full Greenhouse software to the equation delivers unmatched ease of use and value to employers. There is also a real 'white glove' approach to CloserIQ; talent advisors meet with each candidate, develop curated candidate profiles, and assist with developing audio introductions. A clear theme emerges, CloserIQ focuses on creating a candidate-first experience and a client-minded repeatable on boarding experience. Finally, content generated on their site cannot be dismissed; white papers, powerful blog posts and resources for marketplace users is abundant and always super focused on tech and sales.
Weakness: Naturally for our purposes, we have to slightly ding CloserIQ for their geographical limitations. They have plans to expand to various major U.S cities but it's lack of accessibility is limiting. Second, there is very little transparency to CloserIQ's own pricing model. They state being much cheaper than other recruiters but without disclosing any estimates.
Best Use: Start-ups and small tech companies needing to quickly hire a sales force would benefit the most from CloserIQs marketplace and platform. Currently, CloserIQ is restricted to the NY area but with upcoming expansions, they'll have a much farther reach.
